Laundry Attendant – Hotel Hospitality

About the role

The Laundry Attendant will support Top Rank Hotel’s housekeeping operations by managing all aspects of linen and uniform care. Working in the hotel’s laundry department, you will ensure that guests receive clean, well‑presented items while maintaining high standards of hygiene and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sort and count soiled linen, towels, uniforms and other items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, irons and pressing equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Apply detergents and cleaning agents in the correct proportions.
• Inspect items before and after washing for stains, damage or missing pieces.
• Iron, fold, package and arrange clean items neatly for distribution.
• Deliver finished linen and uniforms to the appropriate hotel departments.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry work area and equipment.
• Record receipt, processing and issuance of laundry items accurately.
• Report equipment faults, damaged linen or shortages to the supervisor.
• Handle guest laundry and any confidential items with care.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry environment.
• At least an HND or equivalent qualification in a related field.

Required skills

• Operating washing machines, dryers and ironing/pressing equipment.
• Proper use of detergents and cleaning chemicals.
• Inspection of linen for stains and damage.
• Folding, packaging and inventory tracking of laundry items.
