Last Mile Team Lead – Door Delivery

About the role

Jumia is seeking a Last Mile Team Lead to oversee door‑to‑door delivery operations across Nigeria. The role ensures timely, accurate deliveries, high customer satisfaction and meets key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Last Mile Delivery Operators/Associates, assigning daily routes and tasks.
• Monitor driver‑customer communication to guarantee a positive delivery experience.
• Coach, train and evaluate delivery staff, driving productivity and continuous improvement.
• Track and act on KPIs such as on‑time delivery, customer satisfaction, success rate and vehicle utilisation.
• Promote road safety, risk mitigation and compliance with transportation regulations.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations, Network and Customer Service to resolve delivery exceptions and escalations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance and driver performance.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, transportation or last‑mile delivery, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills.
