Junior AI Engineer (Fully Onsite – Ogba/Ikeja, Lagos)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to join our technology team and support the development, testing, and deployment of AI‑driven solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in software development, machine learning, and data processing, with a willingness to learn and work on real‑world AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of AI and machine‑learning solutions.
• Assist in building, training, testing, and evaluating machine‑learning models.
• Prepare, clean, and analyse datasets for AI/ML applications.
• Develop and maintain Python‑based applications and AI workflows.
• Integrate AI models and APIs into existing applications and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Research emerging AI tools, frameworks, and techniques and recommend relevant solutions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver AI‑enabled features.
• Document technical processes, model performance, and implementation decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in AI engineering, machine learning, data science, or software development.
• Strong knowledge of Python and basic understanding of machine‑learning concepts and algorithms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit‑learn.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and databases, and experience with Git/version control.
