IT Auditor

About the role

The IT Auditor reports directly to the Chief Audit Executive of RMB Nigeria and is responsible for ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and controls over IT systems, platforms, and projects. The role also provides consulting services and helps develop the IT audit capability within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assurance and consulting services on general IT controls, data analysis, and project risk management.
• Evaluate hardware, operating systems, databases, network infrastructure and applications, and perform control reviews.
• Review system backup, disaster recovery, and maintenance procedures.
• Conduct audits in line with the Group Internal Audit methodology and IIA standards, including drafting reports and managing action plans.
• Collaborate with the Group Internal Audit team and Brader Africa IT auditors to integrate process and IT audit approaches.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT audit, process audit, risk management or technology assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (advantageous).

Required skills

• Experience with Computer‑Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs).
• Proficiency in audit analytics tools and Power BI.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of general and application controls review methodologies.
