IT Applications Support Specialist

About the role

You will keep the daily trading and back‑office software running smoothly and securely, fixing incidents quickly or escalating them. You will also help evaluate, implement and document new digital tools as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain trading, back‑office and market screen applications, ensuring high availability during market hours.
• Set up and manage staff accounts, controlling access across email and business systems.
• Respond to and resolve incidents promptly during trading hours; if not resolved, escalate and log details.
• Keep the website and client portal updated, online and backed up.
• Work with software vendors to report issues, test fixes and enforce timelines.
• Install updates safely with backups and rollback plans.
• Assist in selecting and deploying new digital tools and write simple user guides.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of IT or software support experience, preferably in banking, stockbroking, fintech or insurance.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience managing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace accounts.
• Familiarity with support ticket systems (Jira, Freshdesk) and API testing tools (Postman).
• Strong security habits: strong passwords, two‑step login, regular updates and phishing awareness.
• Ability to explain technical fixes in plain language to colleagues or clients.
