IT and Social Media Officer

About the role

FTB-TALENTS is looking for a technically skilled and digitally savvy professional to provide day‑to‑day IT support while managing and growing the school's social media presence. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting of hardware and software with creative content production for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to staff and students, troubleshooting hardware, software, internet, printer and basic network issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, printers, projectors and other IT equipment.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, software updates, backups and basic IT security.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of IT assets and liaise with external vendors when specialised support is needed.
• Support IT needs during school events, meetings, presentations and examinations.
• Manage the school's social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and maintain a consistent content calendar.
• Create, capture and edit photos and short‑form videos, write engaging captions and schedule posts.
• Monitor comments, messages and audience engagement, and produce regular performance reports.
• Collaborate with management and academic staff to identify digital content opportunities and improve online visibility while protecting student privacy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, HND or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in IT support and/or social media management.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a school environment.
