Internal Auditor

About the role

Zobis Cable Nigeria Limited is seeking a proactive Internal Auditor to develop and execute a risk‑based audit plan across finance, operations, procurement, inventory and logistics. The role involves identifying control weaknesses, conducting fraud risk assessments and supporting process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual audit plan covering high‑risk areas.
• Perform detailed financial, operational and compliance audits, including transaction testing and process walkthroughs.
• Identify control weaknesses, document findings with root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Track audit recommendations, follow up with process owners and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct fraud risk assessments, investigate suspected irregularities and liaise with external auditors.
• Review compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and perform compliance audits.
• Provide advisory input on process improvements, automation opportunities and control enhancements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant audit experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, internal control frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and report‑writing abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and independence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with audit tools and software.
