Human Resources Manager

About the role

We are looking for a senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for our Abuja office. The role will oversee the full employee lifecycle, partner with senior leadership on workforce planning, and ensure compliance with Nigerian employment regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations and exit processes.
• Partner with management on workforce planning, staffing, succession and capability development.
• Handle employee relations issues, grievances, disciplinary actions and workplace investigations.
• Maintain compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements and ensure robust HR documentation.
• Develop and continuously improve HR policies, SOPs, processes and HR systems.
• Support learning, talent development and employee engagement initiatives.
• Use HR data and reporting to identify workforce trends, risks and priorities.
• Supervise the HR team and ensure consistent practices across locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience with responsibility for HR operations.
• Strong background in employee relations, performance management, recruitment, workforce planning and compliance.
• Working knowledge of Nigerian employment and statutory requirements.
• Professional HR certifications such as CIPM, ACIPM, HRPL, PHRi or SHRM are preferred.
• Experience in technology, professional services, BPO, workforce development, international development or multi‑location organisations is an advantage.
