HR Officer – Verification & Talent Acquisition

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented HR Officer to lead verification activities and support talent acquisition processes. The role ensures candidate information is accurate, complies with verification standards, and contributes to an efficient recruitment workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct employment, education, reference, and background verification for candidates.
• Contact previous employers, referees, and educational institutions to validate candidate information.
• Prepare and submit accurate verification reports within agreed timelines.
• Maintain organized and confidential records of all verification activities and supporting documentation.
• Support end‑to‑end recruitment activities, including candidate sourcing, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, verification standards, data protection, and confidentiality requirements.
• Follow up on pending verification cases and escalate discrepancies where necessary.
• Assist with other HR and talent acquisition tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Human Resources.
• Proven experience conducting employment, education, reference, and background verification.
• Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of recruitment processes and candidate documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and report‑writing skills.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
