HR Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will support the school’s HR operations in Lagos, handling recruitment, employee administration, and payroll processes. You will ensure compliance with HR policies, maintain accurate records, and foster a positive workplace culture. The role involves direct interaction with staff, learners, and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment cycles, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Maintain and update employee files, contracts, and statutory documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative assistance for employee relations issues and performance management.
• Generate HR reports and analytics to aid decision‑making.
• Contribute to a collaborative school environment by promoting professionalism and responsibility.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years (60 months) of HR experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• CIPM certification is a plus.
• Proven experience in recruitment, policy development, and payroll administration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills suitable for a school environment.
