Hotel Sales Executive

About the role

The Hotel Sales Executive will lead the commercial effort to maximise occupancy, room revenue and overall profitability for our property in Port Harcourt. You will build and nurture relationships with corporate, government, travel and leisure clients, driving sales across rooms, conferences, banquets and other hotel services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase hotel occupancy and revenue.
• Identify, prospect and secure new corporate, government, diplomatic and leisure accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, event planners and other key partners.
• Drive sales for guest rooms, conferences, banquets, restaurants and ancillary services.
• Conduct client visits, sales calls, presentations, site inspections and business meetings.
• Negotiate corporate rates, contracts, packages and partnership agreements within approved guidelines.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing and promotions.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Reservations, Front Office, F&B and Marketing teams to optimise revenue opportunities.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry conferences.
• Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports and performance reviews for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism or related field.
• Minimum 5 years proven experience in hotel sales or hospitality business development.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving significant sales and revenue targets.
• Strong network of corporate clients, travel agencies and event planners is highly desirable.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet aggressive revenue goals.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel PMS/CRM or sales management systems.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
