Hotel Resident Manager

About the role

A hotel in Ikoyi, Lagos is looking for an experienced, service-oriented Resident Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate several departments and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The role works closely with the operations manager and executive director and requires a strong grasp of luxury hospitality standards and the competitive market in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the main operational departments so that guest experiences, operational efficiency, brand standards and SOPs are met.
• Coordinate day-to-day work between Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security and Guest Services.
• Keep walkways, rooms and the guest arrival lounge clean by directing the Head of Housekeeping.
• Monitor daily occupancy, VIP arrivals, group movements and special events.
• Watch guest experience and service quality across departments, including the taste, quality and speed of food service.
• Measure departmental productivity, SOPs and KPIs, and control operational costs while keeping facilities maintained.
• Maintain health, safety and hygiene guidelines, enforce security procedures and ensure vendor and supplier compliance.
• Welcome VIPs and important guests, handle guest complaints and service recovery, and monitor feedback and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality regulations and monitor maintenance, fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel, strictly in Lagos or Abuja brand locations.
• BSc or HND in a related field.
• Strong understanding of daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Maintenance, Security and Guest Services.
