Home Tutor for Primary 1 Student in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to support a Primary 1 boy, Bryan, in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The tutor will provide focused, one‑on‑one instruction in basic mathematics and English language, helping the student build confidence and stay motivated.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2 hours of tutoring each session, three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) at 3:00 PM.
• Follow the Nigerian Primary Curriculum for Mathematics and English.
• Assist the student with homework, ensuring understanding and independent completion.
• Identify and address gaps in attention and focus, providing personalized support.
• Report progress to the client, Mrs. Bell, and adjust teaching methods as needed.

Required profile

• Experience teaching Primary 1 students or equivalent age group.
• Patience and ability to give personal attention to a young learner.
• Strong communication skills with both child and parent.
• Reliable and punctual, able to travel to the client’s home in Lekki Phase 1.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Nigerian Primary Curriculum.
• Proficiency in teaching basic mathematics concepts.
• Proficiency in teaching foundational English language skills.
