Home Assistant

About the role

A home assistant position based in Marina, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, with a monthly pay range of NGN 70,000 to 150,000. The role covers day-to-day household management, cleaning, laundry, meals and errands.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and other household areas.
• Assist with preparing and serving daily meals as required.
• Handle laundry: washing, drying, ironing, folding and arranging clothes.
• Organize household items, furniture, groceries and other supplies; run errands and help with other household tasks.
• Keep kitchen utensils, appliances and equipment clean and maintained.
• Help receive visitors and attend to basic household needs.
• Store and handle food and supplies properly, and report maintenance issues or supply shortages to the employer.
• Treat household belongings with care and confidentiality, and perform other domestic duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a home assistant, domestic staff, housekeeper or in a similar role.
• Honest, trustworthy, respectful and hardworking.
• Physically fit and able to handle routine household duties.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the household's preferences and routines.

Required skills

• Basic cooking and meal preparation skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning, laundry, ironing and general housekeeping.
• Good organization, time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, attention to detail and multitasking.
