Health, Safety and Environment Supervisor

About the role

The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Supervisor will support the company's commitment to improving HSE performance by implementing objectives and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This role focuses on preventing injuries and maintaining a safe working environment within the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site and safety audits, inspect material‑handling equipment and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Identify potential accident risks, fire hazards and safety issues, reporting them promptly.
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), ensure proper storage and issue corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Implement a strict work‑permit system for non‑routine and hazardous tasks and produce weekly HSE reports.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety pep talks, and follow up on safety engagement metrics.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent reporting skills.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation management systems.
• Practical knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and hygiene control programmes.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
