Head, Warehousing and Logistics

About the role

The Head, Warehousing and Logistics leads and optimizes end-to-end warehousing, logistics, customs clearance, inventory and asset management operations so that CAPEX and OPEX materials are available on time for network deployment, commercial operations and business growth. The role drives inventory efficiency, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, warehouse governance and continuous process improvement across the supply chain network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead warehouse and inventory management across all locations, maintaining accurate, visible and controlled inventory, optimizing warehouse capacity and material handling, and managing CWIP, aged inventory and asset lifecycle.
• Ensure timely processing of warehouse transactions and material movements, and manage repair, return and recovery processes.
• Establish and monitor operational KPIs and service levels, drive automation and productivity initiatives, and lead supply chain optimization projects.
• Lead nationwide logistics and distribution, ensure material availability, oversee demand planning, replenishment and inventory deployment, and optimize transportation performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements and audit standards; lead customs clearance and import management, maintain inventory and asset control frameworks, and oversee inventory verification and audit remediation.
• Optimize warehousing, logistics and inventory costs, manage logistics, warehouse and customs service providers, monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, and support contract management and commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a numerical science; Master's preferred.
• At least 10-15 years of experience in warehousing, logistics, inventory management and supply chain operations.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multiple warehouse locations and logistics operations.
• Experience in telecommunications, technology, FMCG, manufacturing or large-scale distribution preferred.
• Ability to manage a large geographic scope across Nigeria and to manage an outsourcing partner delivering business solutions.
