About the role
The Head Teacher will lead academic and operational functions of the school, ensuring curriculum quality, staff performance, student welfare, and community engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise teaching and learning, ensure curriculum meets national standards, observe lessons and provide feedback.
- Hire, train, evaluate teachers and staff; organise professional development workshops and mentorship.
- Enforce safety and safeguarding policies, handle major student behavior and promote mental health.
- Create and manage the school budget, oversee facility maintenance and resource distribution.
- Communicate school news and student progress to parents and build partnerships with local organisations.
Required profile
- NCE or B.Ed qualification with 1‑2 years of teaching experience.
- Experience teaching primary or early years learners, knowledge of Nigerian and British curricula.
- Background in early childhood education or Montessori methodology.
- Ability to train and mentor other teachers.
