Head of Supply Chain – Aviation (Lagos)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced aviation supply chain professional to lead the Technical Operations & Supply Chain department of a growing airline and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) in Lagos, Nigeria. The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted aircraft maintenance support through effective procurement, logistics and inventory management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams responsible for procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing and contracts.
• Develop and execute supply‑chain strategies that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to ensure high performance and compliance.
• Guarantee timely availability of aircraft parts and materials to avoid AOG situations.
• Oversee aviation inventory planning, warehousing and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, customs requirements and hazardous‑goods procedures.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on traceability, recalls and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor market trends and drive continuous process improvements across the function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years experience in aviation technical procurement and supply chain, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of MRO operations and EASA/FAA regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/MRO systems such as SAP, Oracle or AMOS.
