Head of Legal Partnerships

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Legal Partnerships to build and manage a network of law firms for our AI safety technology platform. The role combines legal expertise, commercial partnership development, and marketing to ensure a trusted service for users across Nigeria, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Source, vet, contract and onboard law firms across Nigeria, then expand to the Netherlands and the United States, ensuring coverage of relevant practice areas.
• Run each firm through a structured vetting standard, manage service level agreements, and monitor performance metrics such as response time and user ratings.
• Own the service’s website and social media presence, publishing regular content and managing the in‑app escalation experience.
• Collaborate with product, growth, brand, security, and external counsel to maintain compliance and data protection standards.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer called to the Nigerian Bar with at least six years of practice or legal operations experience.
• Knowledge of professional conduct rules on referral fees and advertising in Nigeria, and ability to brief counsel in the Netherlands and the United States.
• Proven commercial record in signing partners and managing B2B2C relationships, plus marketing experience running websites and social accounts.
• Willingness to travel across Nigeria in the first three months and later work across multiple jurisdictions.

Required skills

• Ability to explain a hash, a timestamp and a chain of custody to both a judge and a product manager.
• Working understanding of data protection and user’s free choice of lawyer.
