Head of Housekeeping

About the role

The Head of Housekeeping will lead the housekeeping team at our hotel, ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This full‑time, onsite position reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and plays a key part in delivering excellent guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards, including changing linens, making beds and replenishing amenities.
• Dust, vacuum, mop and sanitise rooms, corridors, stairways and public areas.
• Maintain bathroom fixtures, report any defects and ensure all equipment functions properly.
• Collect and deliver laundry, manage lost‑and‑found items, and support deep‑cleaning programmes.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards and store cleaning supplies safely.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, checklists and inventory.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experience.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Management and organisational abilities.

• Monthly salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 150,000.
