Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead the finance function, shaping financial strategy and ensuring robust financial planning, reporting and control to support the company’s growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with growth objectives and provide insights to senior management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with CBN regulations, tax obligations and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, liquidity and banking relationships.
• Lead, develop and build a high‑performing finance and accounts team.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with banks, auditors, regulators and the Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Minimum 8 years progressive finance experience, including senior‑level roles.
• Experience in a CBN‑regulated financial institution in Nigeria.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or equivalent preferred.

• Experience with accounting/ERP systems
