Growth Lead

About the role

The Growth Lead will own the design and execution of scalable growth strategies across acquisition, activation, retention, partnerships, and revenue optimization for MAX’s mobility and fintech platform in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with revenue and expansion goals, identifying new opportunities across customer segments, products, and markets.
• Drive customer acquisition through digital, offline, referral and partnership channels, and optimise onboarding, activation and retention funnels.
• Own growth metrics such as CAC, LTV, retention and conversion rates, building dashboards and reporting systems.
• Identify and manage strategic partnerships to accelerate market expansion and support launch into new cities or verticals.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, marketing and finance teams to align growth initiatives with product road‑maps and operational capabilities.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience in growth, strategy, marketing, commercial operations or business development, preferably in startups, mobility, fintech or marketplace environments.
• Proven track record of scaling products, customer acquisition or revenue growth.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with data‑visualisation tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau or Power BI.
• Hands‑on experience with performance marketing, CRM and lifecycle‑marketing tools.
