Social Media Marketing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a creative and data‑driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to grow our brand presence across Nigeria. You will own our social media channels, create engaging localized content, and drive user acquisition through organic and paid campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn, tailored to the Nigerian market.
• Create, curate, and schedule localized content (posts, videos, reels, stories) in English, Pidgin, and relevant local languages.
• Plan and manage paid social campaigns (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads) including budgeting, targeting, A/B testing, and optimization.
• Identify, brief, and manage partnerships with Nigerian influencers and micro‑influencers, negotiate terms, and track ROI.
• Monitor trends, viral moments, and competitor activity in Nigeria and adapt content strategy quickly.
• Engage with the online community, respond to comments and messages, manage brand reputation, and escalate customer issues.
• Track, analyze, and report on KPIs (reach, engagement, follower growth, CTR, CAC, conversions) and translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Collaborate with design, product, and sales teams to ensure brand consistency and support campaign launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of social media marketing experience, preferably in the Nigerian or West African market.
• Proven track record of growing social media accounts and running successful paid campaigns.
• Deep understanding of Nigerian social media culture, slang, and consumer behavior.
• Strong copywriting and content creation abilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Nigerian Pidgin or a major local language is a strong advantage.
