Grant Writer & Business Development Officer

About the role

The Grant Writer & Business Development Officer will support Odu Foods by securing funding and expanding market reach. This contractor position blends grant acquisition with strategic partnership development to drive social impact and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities from local and international foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors.
• Draft persuasive grant proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks for impact investors and development partners.
• Manage the full grant lifecycle, tracking deadlines, compliance requirements, and reporting on impact metrics.
• Identify and nurture relationships with strategic partners to broaden Odu Foods' market presence.
• Collaborate with the operations team to align business development strategies with operational goals.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc/HND in Business Administration, Economics, Mass Communication, or related social sciences.
• 2‑3 years proven experience in grant writing, business development, or technical writing.
• Strong analytical and research abilities to interpret complex funding requirements.
• Excellent storytelling and technical writing skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in the agriculture or food processing sector is highly preferred.
