Global Affairs Lead

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Global Affairs Lead to shape and execute its non‑market strategy in Nigeria, combining public affairs, communications, and impact initiatives to strengthen the brand and business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define, manage and execute the non‑market strategy, coordinating public affairs, impact and sustainability projects.
• Lead local consultancies, think‑tanks and industry associations to develop a robust strategy.
• Act as liaison across Marketing, Legal, Operations and other departments to ensure cross‑functional alignment.
• Provide in‑depth analysis of the stakeholder environment, regulatory risks and opportunities.
• Engage senior stakeholders and represent Glovo in high‑impact policy discussions.
• Oversee budget planning and allocation for maximum impact.
• Lead external communication strategies, media relations and social‑media content creation for Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms.
• Manage crisis communications and adjust tactics based on PR and social‑media metrics.
• Develop and implement an ambitious Impact & Sustainability plan aligned with global objectives.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs or PR, with a strong understanding of Nigeria’s political landscape.
• Proven ability to manage high‑stakes regulatory shifts, media storms or social‑media crises.
• Startup mindset with a “do‑er” attitude, willing to roll up sleeves and act decisively.
• Based in Lagos, fluent in English, and able to travel on‑demand to other Nigerian cities.
