Front Desk Officer

About the role

Apothems Nigeria Limited is hiring a Front Desk Officer in Lagos (Marina) on a full-time basis. The role covers reception, visitor handling, scheduling and basic office administration.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome visitors, clients and guests professionally and handle incoming calls, directing them to the right departments
• Schedule meetings, keep appointment records and notify staff of visitors
• Provide accurate information about the organization's services and answer enquiries politely
• Maintain visitor registers, appointment schedules and other front desk documents
• Receive, sort and forward emails and correspondence to the appropriate departments
• Assist with photocopying, printing, filing and other office duties
• Keep the reception area clean, organized and welcoming
• Listen to visitors' concerns, direct complaints to the right people and accept letters, packages and deliveries
• Protect sensitive company information and perform other administrative tasks assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• Minimum of OND
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional appearance and a polite attitude
• Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
• Good telephone etiquette and attention to detail

Required skills

• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel and email
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Organization, record management and time management
• Problem-solving and teamwork
