Forklift Operator - Polypropylene Unit

About the role

Recruitment Giant Limited is urgently recruiting experienced forklift operators on behalf of Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals for its Polypropylene (PP) Unit in Lagos, Nigeria. The position is full-time and requires 3 to 5 years of experience. Candidates with previous experience in a polypropylene plant, petrochemical facility, packaging plant or similar manufacturing environment have an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport, load, unload and stack palletised materials and finished products.
• Handle polypropylene bags and other packaged products on pallets, ensuring safe movement and storage.
• Load and unload trucks, containers and warehouse storage areas.
• Ensure proper pallet positioning, stacking and handling to prevent product damage.
• Transport finished products from production and packaging areas to designated warehouse locations.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and report mechanical faults or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of material movements and support inventory control.
• Follow all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and operational guidelines.
• Work with warehouse, logistics, packaging and production teams and keep assigned areas clean and safe.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical forklift operating experience in an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse or petrochemical environment.
• Demonstrated experience in pallet handling, stacking, loading and unloading.
• Valid forklift operator certification or licence.
• Experience operating counterbalance forklifts and handling heavy palletised loads.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety, load stability and material handling procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment and willingness to work shifts as required.
