Fleet Officer

About the role

The Fleet Officer will support the implementation of transport policies and processes, ensuring efficient movement of raw material supplies to the plant and cement products to distribution centres or customer locations. This role involves coordinating truck operations, monitoring assets, and maintaining safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of truck drivers, loading, dispatches, and deliveries.
• Track and control company assets to ensure availability and effective utilization.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of cement to depots and customers.
• Develop and manage servicing and maintenance schedules for the truck fleet.
• Monitor equipment maintenance quality, timeliness, and suitability.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing standards and procedures.
• Prepare and submit regular truck status reports to senior management.
• Report accidents and related issues promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in logistics management.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with system‑based inventory management systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
