Finance Manager / Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager / Accountant to lead our day‑to‑day accounting operations, prepare accurate financial statements and provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership. The role will be based in Lagos and will support the finance function across budgeting, forecasting and risk analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Develop, monitor and analyse budgets, forecasts and financial risk profiles.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GAAP/IFRS standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audit processes and compile required documentation.
• Provide actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a finance manager or senior accountant role.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP or NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
