Finance & Compliance Manager

About the role

The Finance & Compliance Manager will lead all financial reporting, budgeting and compliance activities for Marhaba Auctions Ltd, ensuring accurate multi‑currency accounting and protecting profitability across vehicle auctions and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in coordination with management and department heads.
• Monitor gross margins per vehicle/transaction and flag cost leaks such as auction overpay, shipping inefficiencies, port/clearing charges and demurrage.
• Maintain accurate books across USD/Naira transactions and manage foreign‑exchange exposure.
• Manage all tax filings (VAT, PAYE, pension, NSITF, ITF, etc.) and ensure statutory compliance.
• Oversee treasury operations, multi‑currency payment gateways and mitigate currency‑fluctuation risk.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, internal audits and enforce company‑wide financial policies and controls.
• Supervise payroll processing, statutory deductions, expense management and accounts‑assistant activities.

Required profile

• A minimum of a degree in a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in finance, accounting or compliance, preferably at senior level.
