About the role
Fiberone Broadband Limited is seeking a Field Support Technician to join its network operations team in Lagos. You will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining fiber optic infrastructure for both aerial and underground deployments.
Key responsibilities
- Install, splice, terminate and maintain fiber optic cables across various field locations.
- Diagnose and resolve fiber faults, signal loss and connectivity issues using OTDR and other testing equipment.
- Support customer installations, repairs and technical issues, and work with Smart OLT and RADIUS Manager for provisioning and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records while adhering to technical and safety standards.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in fiber optics installation and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel to field sites as needed.
Required skills
- Fiber splicing and termination.
- Use of OTDR for fault detection.
- Aerial and underground fiber deployment.
- Familiarity with Smart OLT and RADIUS Manager platforms.
