Factory Manager

About the role

The Factory Manager will lead the production team, ensuring efficient operations, high quality output, and safe working conditions within the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train and supervise production staff, including sorters, loaders, balers and equipment operators.
• Scale all purchased materials and keep factory machinery in good working order.
• Supervise workers on the production floor, draw up work schedules, assign tasks and coordinate production activities.
• Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure cost‑effective deals.
• Allocate equipment and personnel to maintain production standards and estimate production costs, seeking reductions.
• Evaluate staff performance, coach production teams and work with quality control to ensure finished goods meet standards.
• Monitor production output, adjust processes to meet deadlines and analyse data to resolve problems.
• Train teams on safety protocols and implement new methods to improve operational efficiency.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports for senior management using the private platform.

Required profile

• A minimum of an HND in a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
