Facility Manager

About the role

The Facility Manager will oversee the daily operations of a busy mall, ensuring that the environment remains clean, safe, and fully functional. Reporting to senior management, you will coordinate maintenance activities, manage service providers, and respond swiftly to any operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily mall operations and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Supervise building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, generators, and water supply.
• Conduct regular inspections to detect faults and schedule repairs.
• Manage technicians, contractors, cleaners, security personnel and other service providers.
• Track and control facility‑related expenses and produce maintenance reports.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies, and incident reports.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and compliance activities.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, fire and other regulatory standards.
• Liaise with tenants, vendors, management and relevant authorities as needed.

Required profile

• HND in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Building Technology, Estate Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility or mall management, building operations or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety procedures and operational best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and handle operational issues efficiently.
• Resident of Abuja or willing to relocate independently.
