Event Planner & Business Development Manager

About the role

The company is seeking an Event Planner and Business Development Manager to drive growth in the corporate event sector. You will combine event planning expertise with business development initiatives to expand the vendor network and deliver high‑quality events for corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies targeting corporate events.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring alignment with event objectives.
• Provide expert consultation to clients, delivering tailored event solutions.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard high‑quality vendors to expand the network.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to ensure cost‑effectiveness and service quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless event planning and execution.
• Monitor industry trends and market conditions to uncover new business opportunities.
• Analyze event performance data and vendor feedback to optimise processes.
• Promote the company’s event services and vendor offerings through digital and physical marketing initiatives.
• Resolve vendor‑related issues promptly while maintaining strong partnerships.

Required profile

• HND or BSc degree in Business Administration, Event Management or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in event planning, consulting or vendor management.
• Deep understanding of the corporate event industry and vendor landscape.
• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Creative and analytical mindset focused on delivering results.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Experience using project management software.
• Familiarity with digital marketing platforms.
