Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer

About the role

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of EHS policies across our manufacturing plant. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, ISO standards and internal procedures while fostering a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and audit EHS policies, procedures and programs in line with regulatory and company requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and hazard identification for all plant operations.
• Lead incident investigations, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Monitor environmental aspects such as effluent, emissions, waste management and chemical storage.
• Organise safety training, toolbox talks, emergency drills and EHS awareness programmes.
• Maintain EHS documentation, permits, registers and prepare regulatory reports for internal and external audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GMP, FMCG standards).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably in chemical or personal‑care production.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, ISO 45001 Lead/Internal Auditor, ISO 14001 Lead/Internal Auditor, HSE Level 3 or equivalent.
• Membership of a recognised safety body (e.g., IOSH, ISPON) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with EHS reporting tools.
