Engineering Analyst – Civil Engineer for UNDP Projects in Maiduguri

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme is seeking two qualified civil engineers to support its Early Recovery and Regional Stabilization Facility programmes in North‑East Nigeria. The positions are based in Maiduguri and focus on the design, procurement and supervision of community infrastructure projects across Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical infrastructure needs assessments, prepare designs, drawings, presentations and cost estimates for targeted locations.
• Develop and manage technical documents such as Scope of Work, specifications and Bill of Quantities in close collaboration with quantity surveyors.
• Provide technical support to procurement processes, ensure quality of BOQs and specifications, and assist with pre‑bid meetings and bidder clarifications.
• Supervise civil works contracts, verify progress and payment requests, and certify designs and BOQs submitted by national counterparts.
