Employee Relations Lead

About the role

The Employee Relations Lead will act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters within Staffify Outsourcing Limited. Reporting to senior HR leadership, the role focuses on fostering a positive workplace culture, handling grievances, and ensuring compliance with Nigerian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison for employee relations issues, advising managers on conflict resolution and best HR practices.
• Receive, investigate, and resolve employee grievances, maintaining confidentiality throughout.
• Manage the full disciplinary process, including drafting letters, conducting hearings, and ensuring actions align with company policy and Nigerian Labour Law.
• Lead workplace investigations into misconduct, harassment, fraud, and policy violations, preparing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Develop, review, and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, conduct surveys, and analyse results to improve morale and retention.
• Support managers with performance and behaviour management, including performance improvement plans and coaching.
• Conduct exit interviews, analyse turnover trends, and propose retention strategies.
• Prepare monthly HR analytics reports on disciplinary trends, grievances, absenteeism, and engagement metrics.
• Train managers on labour law, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Mid‑level HR professional with at least 3 years (36 months) of experience in employee relations or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
• Excellent investigative, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proven experience in drafting disciplinary documentation and conducting hearings.
