Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Electrician to join Silverbird Group in Marina, Lagos. The role involves installing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems across our facilities, ensuring reliable power supply and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems with minimal supervision.
• Identify faults quickly and execute effective, lasting repairs.
• Manage electrical panels, circuit breakers and related infrastructure.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure system integrity and safety.
• Take ownership of generator operations, ensuring reliability at all times.
• Accurately document work performed and provide clear daily reports.
• Support technical and engineering teams during installations and maintenance.
• Maintain high safety standards, including working at heights when required.

Required profile

• SSCE or Technical Certification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years hands‑on experience in electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of wiring, power distribution, generator operations and fault diagnosis.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance.
• Additional certifications in electrical safety/maintenance are an advantage.
• Experience in a facility management or media environment is preferred.
