Electrical/Electronic Engineer – Design Vetting & Consultancy

About the role

T.E.A.M Nigeria Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Engineer to oversee design vetting and consultancy for railway infrastructure projects in Abuja. The role involves ensuring all electrical designs meet project standards and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings, reports, calculations, materials and other submissions for compliance with standards.
• Vet and approve electrical system designs to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
• Conduct technical evaluations and recommend necessary modifications.
• Prepare technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Recommend appropriate testing methods for verification of technical non‑compliance.
• Propose technical solutions with justifications for design challenges.
• Monitor project design progress and site execution, preparing reports accordingly.
• Evaluate and report on installation, testing, and commissioning of key electrical systems, including earthing, wiring, fire alarms, power distribution, transformers, lighting and control systems.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders such as contractors, clients and consultants to ensure smooth design and execution.
