Electrical Engineer

About the role

Dangote Industries is looking for an Electrical Engineer to design, develop and test electrical systems supporting R&D and product development. The engineer leads a team through the product life cycle, working with sensor R&D, mechanical, software and supply chain teams to develop design requirements, validate designs and ensure a smooth move to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Create electrical systems and components for operations such as power systems, household appliances and electronic devices.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all electrical equipment.
• Carry out regular inspections and assessments, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting of boiler-related failures and performance issues.
• Mentor and train engineering staff and foster continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, including performance reports, maintenance records and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• BSc. or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience in boiler design, operation and maintenance in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Membership with COREN, NSE and another recognised engineering body (e.g. PMP, ACEN, NAE, APWEN).
