Drying and Blending Operator

About the role

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, Nigeria's leading integrated sugar producer and subsidiary of Dangote Industries Limited, is hiring a Drying and Blending Operator for its Apapa refinery, which has an installed capacity of 1.44 million tonnes per year. The operator runs the dryer routes, equipment and associated accessories, including periodic field inspections to monitor equipment condition and operational status in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure that all dryers and associated equipment are kept in good working condition.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve optimal operational results.
• Operate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor and control production processes.
• Promptly report equipment faults and malfunctions to the maintenance team.
• Follow refinery safety procedures and protocols.
• Comply with Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) requirements and Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) on the production line.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).
• An OND or other higher qualification in Engineering or a related discipline is an added advantage.
• Excellent safety culture.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of HMI operation and troubleshooting.
• Good technical background on dryer and conveyor operation.
