Director of Government Relations

About the role

As the Director of Government Relations at Honeywell Technologies, you will lead the development and execution of the company’s strategy for engaging with government bodies, regulators and industry associations across Nigeria. You will shape policy advocacy, monitor legislative changes and ensure the company’s interests are represented at the highest levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and advancement of legislative and regulatory proposals aligned with business objectives.
• Identify, analyse and report on legislative and regulatory issues impacting the company and recommend actions.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with regulators, elected officials, civil servants and other key stakeholders.
• Produce high‑quality written recommendations, briefings, publications and presentations for government audiences.
• Coordinate strategy with consultants and trade association representatives to ensure aligned engagement.
• Organise and drive communication with senior leadership, including meetings, briefings and campaign reviews.
• Represent Honeywell on industry associations, steering committees and networking organisations to protect and promote company interests.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in government relations, public affairs or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of government processes, policies and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline).
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
