Depot Stock Keeper – Supply Chain

About the role

The Depot Stock Keeper will manage and control inventory at the Kano depot, ensuring accurate records, proper storage, and timely availability of pharmaceutical products for sales and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming products against delivery and transfer notes, inspecting quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates and packaging condition.
• Maintain up‑to‑date stock records in the ERP system for all receipts, issues, transfers, returns, damages and adjustments.
• Apply FEFO and FIFO principles to minimise expiry and stock losses, and issue products only against authorised documents.
• Conduct daily monitoring, regular physical counts and periodic stock‑taking exercises, reconciling physical stock with system balances.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly stock reports, including near‑expiry stock alerts.
• Identify, segregate and document damaged, expired, obsolete or recalled items in line with company procedures.
• Support auditors and internal inventory control teams during verification and audit activities.

Required profile

• B.Sc., HND or OND in Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in stock keeping, warehouse operations or inventory control, preferably in pharmaceutical or FMCG environments.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Tally ERP or Sage is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP platforms (SAP, Tally ERP, Sage).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of FIFO and FEFO inventory management principles.
