Country Manager – Nigeria

About the role

IQVIA is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Country Manager to lead and expand its Molecular Diagnostics business in Nigeria. The role combines full commercial, operational and people leadership responsibilities, focusing on both public and private sector growth and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Managing Director to define and execute a Nigeria‑specific growth strategy aligned with regional and global priorities.
• Hold full P&L responsibility, including forecasting, target achievement and performance tracking.
• Lead, coach and manage a team of Sales Executives and Ambassadors to drive revenue, profitability and market share.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans, manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
• Build and maintain relationships with federal and state health ministries, regulatory bodies, public health labs and donor agencies.
• Navigate tender processes, donor‑funded programs and public health initiatives to secure market access.
• Establish and execute structured KOL engagement plans in collaboration with Marketing.
• Identify, develop and retain high‑potential talent, fostering a collaborative and results‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of senior commercial or country leadership experience, with at least 3–4 years of people management.
• Strong commercial background in healthcare, preferably IVD, Diagnostics or Molecular markets.
• Demonstrated experience in the Nigerian market, including knowledge of public healthcare systems, laboratory funding and donor mechanisms.
• Proven ability to develop and execute country‑specific sales and market‑access strategies.
• University degree in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or related field.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, financial analysis and communication skills.
