Consulting Dermatologist – AI Projects (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a board‑certified dermatologist to join iMerit’s Medical Division on a part‑time, remote basis. You will apply your clinical expertise to review de‑identified dermatology cases and guide the development of AI models that detect skin conditions across diverse populations.

Key responsibilities

• Examine anonymised dermatology images and case data submitted for AI training.
• Provide detailed, medically accurate feedback to ensure AI outputs meet real‑world standards.
• Help define labeling guidelines that improve AI performance on varied skin tones.
• Collaborate with data scientists and project managers through virtual meetings.
• Commit approximately 10 hours per week to review tasks and documentation.

Required profile

• Board‑certified dermatologist with at least five years of post‑residency experience.
• Currently practising in Nigeria and licensed to provide clinical opinions.
• Ability to work independently and meet weekly time commitments.
• Strong interest in medical AI and data‑driven healthcare innovation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer applications for reviewing digital case files.
