Construction Works Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Works Superintendent will lead on‑site supervision of Alaro City’s construction programmes, ensuring that all works are executed in line with approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee all construction activities carried out by contractors and in‑house teams.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications and agreed methodologies.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements and material approvals.
• Conduct daily site inspections, verify quality and progress, and identify deviations from design intent.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and stakeholders to resolve site issues and manage risks.
• Safeguard design intent, enforce HSE and QA/QC standards, and ensure contract compliance.
• Provide independent, accurate reporting on progress, risks and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising construction works on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Ability to monitor contractor performance and ensure timely, safe, cost‑effective delivery.
• Experience conducting site inspections and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and QA/QC processes.
