About the role
The Commissioning Technician owns technical operations for expanding service locations into new sites. Reporting to the Commissioning Team Lead, the role ensures solar equipment is commissioned and installed to predefined standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare a pre‑departure checklist of tools and equipment for each allocated site.
- Commission and install solar technical equipment, following guidelines and documenting all steps.
- Set up new sites in the Star App, Dashboard and Dataverse before hand‑over.
- File, respond to, update and escalate technical issues in Gitlab.
- Remote‑troubleshoot Hub performance pre‑go‑live and travel for in‑person repairs.
- Verify Jaza pack charge rates and ensure 100% connectivity at new sites.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of Hub/Shop equipment during commissioning.
- Test new products and firmware as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 2‑3 years of technical/engineering experience in telecommunications or energy.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and HSE compliance.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently to remote locations and interact with diverse teams.
