Chef – Full-time Kitchen Lead

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Chef to lead our kitchen at A10 Food and Cafe Hub in Abuja. The successful candidate will design menus, oversee daily food preparation, and ensure the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and price daily or seasonal menus while maintaining culinary excellence.
• Supervise food preparation, cooking, and plating during service to guarantee consistency.
• Manage kitchen staff, create schedules, assign duties and train junior cooks.
• Monitor inventory, control food costs and place orders for fresh ingredients and supplies.
• Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation and safety standards across all preparation areas.

Required profile

• OND qualification minimum.
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Chef, Head Cook or Executive Chef in a restaurant, hotel or catering environment.
• Formal culinary degree, diploma or professional certification from a recognised institute.
• In‑depth knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety regulations and kitchen management.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of local and Nigerian dishes.

• Competitive monthly salary between NGN 70,000 and NGN 150,000.
