About the role

Mayristics Enterprise is seeking a reliable Cashier Officer to join its retail team in Lagos, Marina. The role involves handling customer transactions, managing cash flow, and providing friendly service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Process transactions by scanning items, weighing produce, and accepting cash, credit, debit, or digital payments.
  • Count and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift, ensuring accurate change is available.
  • Greet shoppers, answer product questions, and handle returns or exchanges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized checkout counter stocked with bags and receipts.

Required profile

  • Basic math skills for quick and accurate cash handling.
  • Clear, friendly communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Strong attention to detail to prevent transaction errors and drawer discrepancies.
