About the role
The Cashier will be the front‑line representative of Swift Consulting’s retail outlet in Marina, handling all customer payment transactions with accuracy and professionalism. You will ensure a smooth checkout experience while maintaining strict cash control.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process payments via cash, POS terminals and other accepted methods.
- Issue receipts and record each transaction in the register.
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift, identifying any discrepancies.
- Maintain daily transaction logs and generate reports for management.
- Monitor and report cash shortages, float variances or suspicious activity.
Required profile
- Minimum Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer‑facing role is advantageous.
- Strong numerical ability and high integrity when handling cash.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail‑oriented, honest and able to work under pressure.
